New software for Cumulative Dose Algorithm assessment. This efficient tool can be used for Quatily Assurance of Cumulative Dose calculation methods used during IGRT (Image Guided RT) and more particularly ART (Adaptive) protocols.

A digital phantom modeling the target volume and the surrounding tissues and organs is used to simulate the deformations occurring during the treatment (FEM modeling). Planning and per-treatment images are simulated.

The reference treatment plan is then applied on the virtual phantom, thus computing the theoretical cumulative doses at each fraction. These theoretical doses will then be compared to those obtained by applying the Cumulative Dose Calculation method to be evaluated.

Alternative solution compared to hard deformable phantoms, offering the following advantages:

  • No beam time required for QA
  • Better efficiency

This solution can be used to evaluate and compare any kind of Cumulative Dose Calculation method available.

Independent software.
