A new device has been designed for home diagnosis and monitoring of bruxism episodes. Bruxism, teeth grinding and clenching, is a common condition that affect 10 to 20% of the population, up to 40 millions adults. This medical device is a connected dental protector – mouth guard that detects and measures the force and duration of bruxism episodes during the patient’s sleep. Data transmission is done by induction when the device is loaded on its docking station, during the day. The patient can call up the information through a dedicated app. Data may also be shared with the dentist practitioner.
