Innovative implantable medical device for endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms
Context
Cerebral aneurysms, notably those with a wide neck, are difficult to treat: the endovascular devices currently offered to patients are not always appropriate and may sometimes lead to delayed rupture.
Benefits
The DIVINS project offers an innovative device that combines several advantageous properties to enable better handling of intracranial aneurysms. This endovasucular prosthesis combines a flow diversion technology with stent technology to create a single, unique device that can be implanted more quickly and easily than existing devices.
