Fluorescent dendrimers for mono and multiphotonic imaging

The invention consists in a new kind of fluorescent probe dedicated to biological imaging and optimised for two-photons fluorescence excitation process. It's directly competing semiconductor nanodots functionalities, offering an "all organic" alternative.

The basic innovation is a dendritic system including nearly 100 strongly two-photons active fluorophores. The system is built with a core phosphorus dendrimer on which sequences of peripherical active chromophores are permanently grafted in a way that they are protected from the external environment.
