INM : international scientific intelligence on non-drug interventions, analysis, meta-analysis and territorial extrapolation, non-drug clinical research consulting.

Context
Researchers at the Epyslon laboratory (www.lab-epsylon.fr), who also work for the CEPS university platform, performed original studies to evaluate the cost effectiveness of non-drug medical interventions. Notably, the CEPS platform (www.iceps.fr) organizes an international conference on the subject. The laboratory and platform have been organized through multidisciplinary collaboration projects, today benefiting from a European-wide presence for research in the non-drug intervention field. They have established relations with most of the stakeholders in the non-drug intervention sector, including industrial companies, paying entities, and clinical trials centers. Today they are well-positioned to become the French and European-wide references for methodological activities related to evaluating the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of non-drug interventions.

Benefits
Non-drug interventions are distributed in various forms, such as through health products, medical equipment, and programs or services for people. They interest numerous different sectors, from sanitary, agri-food, and health-ITC organizations, to insurance, personal services, and the social and solidarity economy. Non-drug interventions avoid significant health-related expenses while providing benefits for users. Results from this approach represent real interest for learned societies, governments, social security/medical care, insurance and mutual insurance companies. At this time, the major barrier preventing the recognition and reimbursement of non-drug interventions is a lack of proof that demonstrates their clinical efficiency and costs/benefits. Rigorous experimental protocols, such as randomized controlled trials, are the only way to provide irrefutable proof.

Applications
General public, efforts for aging well, preventing chronic diseases, health-ITC, e-health, sports-health, health nutrition, health education, preventive health, psychotherapy, and therapeutic education.
