A process, MAGSALIA, aimed at enhancing the detection of submerged magnetic objects has been developed within a laboratory of the University of Brest.

Thanks to this innovative process, the exploratory phases are simplified and speeded up while profiting from 3-D. A feature of MAGSALIA is its adaptability to the difficult conditions of measurement in a marine environment (uncertainties on sensor positioning) and in fresh water. It can locate artefacts, including poorly magnetic ones, up to a probe-target distance of 50 m).
