Living tissues stiffness is linked to their physiological functions. Pathologies can modify tissues stiffness such as tumors, fibrosis and cirrhotic liver.

A new compression device has been developed to study soft biological tissues. This technology allows characterizing living tissues in vitro and ex vivo in order to measure mechanical properties.
