Technological Geomatics Platform Bourgogne Franche-Comté

Presentation

GEOBFC is an interregional platform, coordinated by the House of Human Sciences of Dijon and the House of Human and Environmental Sciences N. Ledoux of Besançon. It has acquired last generation softwares, with the support of the Burgundy  and Franche-Comté regions, as well as the Research Ministry and the CNRS. The platform takes part to the production of high resolution (LIDAR-type), and has databases that can be released under contract and books made available. 

The platform answers and collaborates on several research projects and products original tools. It masters satellite positioning cartographic surveys (GNSS surveys); performs Lidar acquisition tracking (implementation of technical specifications, data expertise); allows the conception of digital elevation and terrain models and of a spatial databases. It designs and develops GISs, online cartography websites as well as tools and scripts in Python language.

The GEOBFC platform has been identified and labelled by the National Network of MSH and counts among technological platforms of the University of Burgundy. Its team offers thematic training in geomatics.
