Cette jeune start-up b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie de l\u2019expertise et du savoir-faire du professeur Didier Betbeder dans les syst\u00e8mes d\u2019administration de m\u00e9dicament par voie nasale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ses travaux de recherche ont ainsi permis la mise au point de nanoparticules \u00e0 base de biopolym\u00e8res qui offrent la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019avoir un vecteur \u00ab\u00a0universel \u00bb pour la d\u00e9livrance d\u2019antig\u00e8ne, de prot\u00e9ines au sein des cellules. Les capacit\u00e9s de vectorisation de ces nanoparticules ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9es dans le cadre de deux programmes de maturation de la SATT Nord\u00a0: des premiers tests d\u2019un vaccin sous-unitaire contre la toxoplasmose ont notamment \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s avec succ\u00e8s chez la brebis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La preuve de concept a \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9e, en collaboration avec le Pr Isabelle Dimier-Poisson (Universit\u00e9 Rabelais Tours), par la mise au point d\u2019un vaccin contre la toxoplasmose, dont la pr\u00e9valence humaine est de 35%, sur un mod\u00e8le exp\u00e9rimental, ainsi que sur une esp\u00e8ce cible : la brebis. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 du premier vaccin sous-unitaire induisant une protection de tout l\u2019organisme contre une infection parasitaire orale. En effet, contrairement au vaccin concurrent qui utilise des parasites vivants att\u00e9nu\u00e9s pouvant pr\u00e9senter le risque d\u2019une r\u00e9version et d\u2019instabilit\u00e9, la technologie de VAXINANO mime un parasite de synth\u00e8se, excluant ainsi les risques d\u2019infection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les nanoparticules utilis\u00e9es sont compos\u00e9es d\u2019amidon et de lipides, rendant ces nanovaccins \u00ab safer by design \u00bb. Ces nanovaccins sont con\u00e7us pour \u00eatre administr\u00e9s par la voie nasale, simple et non invasive, et apr\u00e8s administration les nanoparticules sont totalement \u00e9limin\u00e9es via le tractus gastro-intestinal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ces nanoparticules sont prot\u00e9g\u00e9es par 3 brevets d\u2019application.
