Today, virtual reality is increasingly used in video games or in new products design for automotive and naval sectors, architecture, ... To make virtual spaces, it is necessary to use 3D engines for the development of these environments, like UNITY® or UNREAL®. However, 3D applications developed can be deployed on single-display systems (PC, smartphones, ...). The 3D Virtual plugin allows these applications deployment on complex virtual reality system such as CAVE .
HOW IT WORKS
The plugin provides several functions: integration of virtual reality peripherals, data distribution on a cluster, rendering projection calculation and synchronization on the multi-screen. The plugin configuration is both a graphical interface integrated in an 3D editor as XML file. Moreover, it is possible to interface the library with a large number of Virtual Reality peripherals (Wiimote, Kinect™, ...).
