A new time reversal scheme for SIMO wireless communication

New digital wireless communication systems must cope with a growing need in terms of transmission rate and must ensure high performance for an increasing number of users.

The Time Reversal (TR) is a particulary attractive solution for communications in multipath environments where high constraints exist (water bottle warehouses...). It helps to focus the received energy in time and space and to simplify the complexity of receivers, while increasing the data rate and the security of the transmission.

Compared to other multi-antenna systems using MISO or MIMO, this new SIMO-TR technique increases the channel capacity (i.e. the maximum data rate in a given bandwith) but keeps a limited complexity which means cost saving.
