BACKGROUND

The wireless market leads to design miniaturized antenna systems for better integration but without degrading performances. As systems become multi-standards (GPS, LTE, WIFI), antenna systems must be multibands, efficient and affordable.

Adaptable Antennas are an antenna system able to work among several band frequencies; that combines easy control and reproducible frequency response with a reduced mechanical system as well as a maximal electromagnetic decoupling for a PIFA antenna type, for example. Radio can easily activate or deactivate band frequencies with a single numerical signal.

KEY BENEFITS vs. EXISTING

  • Reduced electromagnetic coupling
  • Reduced mechanical design
  • Numerical switching frequencies
  • Wide application domains

DEVELOPMENT STATUS

• Demonstrator under construction

APPLICATIONS

• Wireless technologies

• GPS, WIFI, Bluetooth, RFID

• 3G, 4G telephony
