BACKGROUND

AOS-based technology, i.e. Services Oriented Architecture, developed by I3S laboratory of Sophia Antipolis (UNSA/CNRS).

AMBIENTCOMP is a platform enabling live assembly of components to ensure services continuity. The platform supports software application integrating in real time components (applications or smart objects) available in the environment.

A language for dynamic composition describes assembly rules ; the user is being proposed a mecanism to easily manage scenari and solve possible conflicts.

KEY BENEFITS vs. STATE OF THE ART

Automated discovery of neighbouring components.

Automated reconfiguration of applications.

Compliance with architectures and protocols.

Real time adaptation to a priori unknown environments and/or featuring volatile components.

DEVELOPMENT STATUS

Operational prototype, made of an embedded platform and smart objects, demonstrates:

  • relialibility on the field
  • interruptions natively taken in account
  • live reconfiguration of system components
  • possible extension to any peripheric device or applicative function
  • enabled evolutive and corrective maintenance
  • remote control

APPLICATIONS

Complex environments requiring services continuity:

  • M2M intégration platform
  • Smart Grids
  • Home automation
  • Transports
  • Multimedia
