BACKGROUND

Removal of pollutant traces in gas or liquid flux is a key challenge for industrials, as effluents or even within production plants. Processes including absorption or adsorption exist but regenerating is both tricky and incomplete. The pervaporation process-whatever membranes used (polymer or ceramic) does not resist to heat and chemical conditions. To address this issue, our technology combines ceramic membranes and molten salts.

HOW DOES IT WORKS ?

Molten-Salt MEMBRANE allows extracting trace pollutants like hydrocarbons or volatile organic compounds (VOC) in a gas or liquid coming from industrial products or effluents. MS Membranes are made up of channels containing molten-salt parallel to the fluid flow. Pollutants are transported to molten-salts that absorb them. Molten salts are regenerated under mild heating conditions. Both membranes and molten salt can be tuned for specific solutions.
