pathologies in gastroenterology.

The target market in gastro-intestinal endoscopy, U.S. and Europe markets combined, is

estimated at 4.4 billion dollars for 2020.

• This market is sustained by the increase in colorectal cancer for which coloscopies are

the most common procedure since they combine diagnosis and treatment.

• Polyp size is essential information for the diagnosis, but it is difficult for the practitioner

to estimate if they do not have the information about the scale of the organ explored. The

technology proposes to measure the precise size of polyps through endoscopy.

• The medical intervention is performed by a gastroenterologist who refers to the images

on the screen to make their diagnosis and perhaps resection polyps, which are small

excrescences that develop on mucous membranes, which can become cancerous.
