Superelastic Beta Titanium: Biocompatible superelastic titanium alloy with very low Young modulus

Presentation

A patented thermomechanical treatment allows the production of a beta titanium alloy (made from bioinerts addition elements such as niobium or zirconium). Its mechanical properties have been optimized in comparison with titanium alloy presently used in implantology and prosthesis.
